Now, this girl is all about sports. She is not a "girly girl" at all. So I had to figure out something that she would like that wasn't too "girly." The first time I showed her these colors together, she liked it so I ran with it and went with the blacks and whites with the sea blue.
This is an antique desk that was my great grandmother's. I am not satisfied with it though so there is still work to do on it.
I found this antique pedestal stand at an annual antique festival nearby. It worked out great to be a small stand for her lamp and it doesn't take up much space at all.
I used a lot of storage bins and baskets, etc. throughout the room to put swimsuits, DS games, toys, pajamas and other odds and ends.
The bed is also an antique iron bed that was my grandmother's.
I know, it's not a good picture. I used oil rubbed bronze spray paint on a small chandelier.
And you know this girl's gotta have her over the door basketball goal in her new room.
And, yes, that picture on the wall, that's my GIRL on a touchdown run when she played on a little league team which she was the only girl on.

What a fun space and I love how bright the walls are! This project would be perfect for our linky party featuring "Transformations" called Repurpose-Remodel-Reveal, I know our readers would love to see it too! (It starts tomorrow- Friday, March 16th 2012 at 7:00 am and reoccures every 1st and 3rd Friday)
